The Tohoku University International Festival is one of the biggest cultural exchange events in the entire Tohoku region, with over 5000 visitors every year.

It is organized by Tohoku University Foreign Students Association (TUFSA) with the help of the circle of students and other local organizations involved in cultural exchange. For more than 30 years, the International festival has been setting the stage for people from all over the world to meet and enjoy each other's culture, make friends and celebrate the wonderful diversity realizing the multitude of common values they share.

The highlights of the festival are the stage performances, fashion show of traditional costumes, interactive corner, and food stalls.
